Infinitheatre's THE PIPELINE Reading Series Set for 12/4-8

Every year Infinitheatre proudly presents Quebec's newest discoveries in The Pipeline, an annual series of free public play readings where the audience takes centre stage. Guy Sprung, Infinitheatre's Artistic Director, invites the public to catch the excitement and share their views from Wednesday, December 4 - Sunday, December 8 at Bain St-Michel. The theatre will feature two new plays, including the two prize winners of the Write-On-Q! playwriting competition, two works in development originally introduced at Infinitheatre including a musical with top-notch Montreal musicians, as well as a guest reading from young company, Brave New Productions.

Infinithéâtre has announced their upcoming production of Kafka's Ape, starring Howard Rosenstein. The play is written by Kafka and based on his short story, A Report to an Academy. Guy Sprung adapted the play from the original German and directs the production.

Infinitheatre will present the world premiere of Alyson Grant's Trench Patterns, the winner of their 2011 Write-On-Q! playwriting contest, from tonight, October 23-November 18 at Bain St. Michel. Directed by Guy Sprung, the show stars Patricia Summersett as returning Afghan soldier Jacqueline (last seen in Centaur Theatre's Intimate Apparel).

Infinitheatre will present the Quebec English language premiere of the award-winning play, The Leisure Society (La Societe de loisirs), by Francois Archambault, translated by Bobby Theodore, through March 25 at Bain St-Michel. Along with director Ellen David, the cast and design team features Montreal's finest theatre artists from both the English and French sectors including actors Daniel Brochu (presently in Scientific Americans at the Segal Centre), Catherine De Seve (previously seen in Dangerous Liaisons at the Segal Centre and long-time member of L'auberge du chien noir on Radio-Canada), Sheena Gaze-Deslandes (The Daily Miracle, Infinitheatre) and Howard Rosenstein (hot off his praised portrayal of lawyer Hugh Rose in Ars Poetica, Infinitheatre).
