BWW TV: Remembering Oscar Nominee and SPIDER-MAN Costume Designer Eiko Ishioka

Eiko Ishioka, costume designer for SPIDER-MAN, is nominated for a 2013 Academy Award for her costume designs for Mirror, Mirror. Ishioka passed away last year after losing a battle with pancreatic cancer on January 21 in Tokyo. She was 73 years old. Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark is now in its 2nd smash year on Broadway, and has been seen by more than 1 million audience members from around the world. It features music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy Award-winners Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), and a book co-written by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger(Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, 'Big Love'). Peter Parker died in the 700th and final issue of 'The Amazing Spider-Man,' and in the video below, the cast tributes the character along with a slew of other stars. Check it out below! (more...)

STAGE TUBE: SPIDER-MAN Cast Members Chris Tierney and Natalie Lomonte Make Romantic Video for Valentine's Day

In celebration of Valentine's day, tomorrow Feb 14th, Spider-Man's Chris Tierney and Natalie Lomonte made this video on the New York subway to spread the love. Filmed by fellow cast member Rebecca Faulkenberry, the short film tells the story of a chance encounter between two young New Yorkers during the early hours of the morning.
