Eiko Ishioka, costume designer for SPIDER-MAN, is nominated for a 2013 Academy Award for her costume designs for Mirror, Mirror. Ishioka passed away last year after losing a battle with pancreatic cancer on January 21 in Tokyo. She was 73 years old. It features music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy Award-winners Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), and a book co-written by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger(Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, 'Big Love'). Peter Parker died in the 700th and final issue of 'The Amazing Spider-Man,' and in the video below, the cast tributes the character along with a slew of other stars. Check it out below! (more...)
