Company, Bloodless and Raindogs Make Up Theatre 20's Inaugural Season by Kelly Cameron (Jan. 27 11:21 AM) - Theatre 20 announced an exciting inaugural season in a star-studded event this past Monday, January 23rd at Toronto's National Club. Legendary musical theatre performer (and Toronto native son) Colm Wilkinson will make his directorial debut with Bloodless: The Story of Burke and Hare, Theatre 20 will partner with Sheridan College for a production of UK Fringe hit Raindogs and finally, Adam Brazier will direct a re-imagining of Stephen Sondheim's hit Company. THE BLACK-JEW DIALOGUES Plays Hart House, 1/25 by BWW
News Desk (Jan. 25 5:00 AM) - In celebration of the upcoming Black History month and in keeping with their traditions of exploring and discovering cultural freedoms and expressions, Hart House is pleased to host an evening of performance and discussion. Told through a series of comedic sketches,The Black-Jew Dialogues features Larry Jay Tish and Ron Jones as they take the audience on a hysterical and poignant ride through a discussion of their own experiences, the history of their people, and why there has been a growing rift between the two groups since the early 70's. Through their stories the audience gains insight to the true nature of prejudice and how our inability to face our own biases separates us in ways that we may not even think about. |
