THE HOLLOW - Woodbury Community Theatre

ANNOUNCEMENT: Woodbury Community Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for our our first show of the 2014-15 Season - The Hollow, by Agatha Christie. Come audition for this classic murder mystery!

An unhappy game of romantic follow-the-leader explodes into murder one weekend at The Hollow, home of Sir Henry and Lucy Angkatell. Dr. Cristow is at the center of the trouble when his mistress Henrietta, ex-mistress Veronica, and wife Gerda, simultaneously arrive at The Hollow. Also visiting are Edward (who is in love with Henrietta) and Midge (who loves Edward). Veronica ardently desires to marry Cristow and succeeds in reopening their affair but is unable to get him to divorce his wife. Veronica unwisely states that if she cannot have him, no one shall. Within five minutes Cristow is dead. Nearly everyone has a motive and most had the opportunity. Enter Inspector Colquhoun and Sergeant Penny to solve the crime.

CAST NEEDS: Marcie Panian Berglund will be directing an adult cast of 6 men and 6 women.

AUDITIONS AT MERRILL RIVERTOWN CAMPUS:

  • Sunday, July 20 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Monday, July 21 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Tuesday, July 22 - 7:00pm Callbacks

PERFORMANCES IN THE BLACK BOX THEATER - EAST RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Fridays & Saturdays, September 19-20, 26-27 at 7:30pm
  • Sundays, September 21 & 28 at 3:00pm

REHEARSALS: Meet & Greet July 28. Rehearsals begin Monday, August 4 and will be held Monday-Friday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm pending roles assigned.

AUDITION INFORMATION:

  • Auditions begin at 7:00pm and people will be seen in the order they arrive. Doors will be open and scripts will be available to read starting at 6:00pm. Scripts cannot leave the building.
  • Please bring an acting resume and headshot or current photo for the director's use (non-returnable), and a document listing ALL your conflicts during the rehearsal schedule.
  • An additional audition form will also be available if needed.

LOCATION INFORMATION:

  • Auditions & Most Rehearsals will be held at the Merrill Community Arts Center, 380 Rivertown Drive, Suite 200, Woodbury, MN 55125.
  • Tech & Dress Rehearsals and Performances are held at the Merrill Community Arts Center - Black Box Theater, East Ridge High School, 4200 Pioneer Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129.
