Tinc Productions, an event and theatrical production management company in New York City, is seeking applicants for a Theatrical Head Carpenter for a currently running Off-Broadway Production. 

Established in 2007, Tinc Productions is a technical producing firm, providing experienced production management, technical talent, and event consulting. Tinc specializes in high-profile Broadway and Off-Broadway theatrical productions. All candidates should possess technical experience in the appropriate department and working knowledge of show running/maintenance. Physical requirements of the job may include standing, bending, lifting, climbing short ladders, and using stairs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 
- To be responsible for all theatrical and stage scenic elements, including installation, deinstallation, and maintenance of various scenic materials and types. 
- To assist in operation of scenic elements as needed. 
- To maintain an E19 Apprentice pyrotechnics license (paid by show) and operate pyro special effects during show. 
- To perform the Automation (Head Carp) Track, with Knowledge of Running an Automation System in a consistent and safe manner during an active show. 
- To learn and be able to perform the Pyro (Deck Carp) Track, as Head of the Carpentry Department. 
- To build, maintain, modify, and repair scenery and/or props. 
- To pack, unpack, load, and unload material and equipment. 
- To set up and strike scenery and other equipment for rehearsals and other events. 
- To cooperate with other carpenters to help facilitate the completion of all work within the scheduled time frame. 
- To report any problems with materials, or conflicts within team personnel to the Crew Head and Production Management. 

Qualifications: 
- High school diploma or equivalent. 
- 2+ years of experience in theatrical carpentry or similar. 
- 2+ years of experience in running a show. 
- Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds unaided and in repetition. 
- Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends. 
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
- Efficient, effective, and a strong communicator and collaborator 
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment with frequent changes 
- Committed to safety, professionalism, and a growth mindset 
- Able to work in New York City 
- Physical requirements are standing, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and using stairs 

Expected Timeline: 
- Start Date: Immediate 

Call Length: 
- Show Calls Wednesday through Monday 
– 8 shows per week 
- Open Ended Run 
- Show Calls approximately 4 hours

Wages and Benefits: This is a full time, non-exempt position with specific work rules. 
- W-2 Employees, all appropriate taxes withheld. Direct Deposit available. 
- Straight Time: $35.00 per hour, paid at 1/8th performance scale for up to 40 hours per week 
- OT = 1.5 x Straight time for any and all hours worked over 40 hours in one week. 
- The normal pay week is Monday – Sunday
