Where our white team members acknowledge their privilege and the role it has played in their career advancement, and understand that this commitment can often require that privilege to be named and discussed. Where we strive to create an inclusive and diverse community–and as we work toward that vision, we support our BIPOC team members in being leaders of a community that doesn’t yet reflect their lived experiences. Where we ask all team members, when they have the social and professional power to do so, to demonstrate their commitment to this pledge by lending their creative talents outside of AWT to other institutions that are also actively anti-racist, and to avoid involvement in those that are not.”
