Breakdown
OTTO
Male, mid 50s to mid 60s. Career security guard for a supermarket chain. He is a blue-collar guy with a big heart; a paternal figure with tough talk but little action. Approaching retirement, he’s done his time and made his own share of mistakes, and recognizes it in others. Self-educated, he uses words well; a good soul in a bad world. The play is an absurdist comedy, but actor must also have depth and emotional honesty.
