An Office and A Gentleman toured through the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. The musical is based on the Oscar-winning film, An Officer and a Gentleman is the timeless love story that celebrates triumph over adversity.

This past year, thousands of young women competed to become Miss America and on December 16th, 2021, as the organization celebrated its 100 the Anniversary, Emma Broyles from Anchorage, Alaska became the first Miss Alaska to earn the coveted Miss America crown and was awarded a record $100,000 in scholarship assistance. A gifted vocalist, for the talent portion of the Miss America competition, Broyles sang, 'Let Me Be Your Star' from the NBC television show, 'Smash.'

Nicolina Bozzo is current contest on American Idol season 20 on ABC and has made it to the top 24! She will be performing live for America's votes on Sunday/Mondays on ABC. Nicolina has a theatre background! She sang She Used To Be Mine from Waitress the musical for her first American Idol audition.

Becky Gulsvig is singer, actor, and dancer who grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota where she found her passion for theatre. She now resides in New York and has appeared in the original Broadway cast of Legally Blonde, School of Rock, Hairspray, and most recently Come From Away, as well as many other regional productions.

The Prom is currently playing at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis now through April 17th. It's a wonderful show! I am so glad to be chatting with Ashanti J'Aria, who plays Mrs. Greene in the show.

Escape to Margaritaville is currently playing at the Old Log Theatre now through August 27, 2022. We had a chance to interview Amanda Mai who plays Tammy in the show.

The National Tour of The Prom is here in Minneapolis this week from April 12th to April 17th at the Orpheum Theatre. The Prom won the 2019 Drama Desk Award Winner for Outstanding musical.

Lady Camden is a current contestant on Rupauls Drag Race season 14. Lady Camden is the stage name of Rex Wheeler, who was born in the U.K. and is based in Sacramento, California. She is a professionally trained ballet dancer, enjoys theatre and is currently in acting school, and performing drag.

It's prom season! Josh Zacher (Ensemble, Dance Co-Captain) from the cast of The Prom joins Spotlight Education through Hennepin Theatre Trust for a dance & choreography masterclass. Students will learn choreography from (and in the style of) The Prom!

Sphinx Virtuosi performed with Border CrosSing today, April 10th. They performed works by Ginastera, Foley, Montgomery, and more at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts at the Ordway Concert Hall. 

Jordan is a New York City based actor with a career spanning the Stage, Television, Film, and Voice-over. He has been in many theatrical productions including Choir Boy, Hairspray, Peter Pan, Wicked, and more!

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres will present JazzMN, Minnesota's premier, professional jazz orchestra, back to its Main Stage on Monday evening, April 25 for a memorable return to distinctive jazz, under the artistic direction of JC Sanford.

This series of staged readings of new works from Asian American playwrights is an artistic incubator for thoughts and ideas looking to be born onto the stage. For the 2022 festival, our playwrights are our Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Playwright-in-Residence Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay, Katie Ka Vang and composer Melissa Li, and Keiko Green, who was one of our inaugural Mu Tang Clan members this past year.

Ryan McCartan is known for playing Jason 'J.D. Dean' in the original off-broadway production of Heathers. Brad Majors in the 2016 Fox musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Ryan also played Diggie Smalls in Disney Channel's sitcom Live and Maddie. Fiyero in Wicked, and most recently Hans in Frozen.
