The Last Five Years is a cult favorite musical written and composed by Tony award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Urban Cowboy). The show is running at the enchanting Winchester Street Theatre, 80 Winchester Street, today, April 10-12, and 17-19 with doors at 7:30pm and curtain at 8:00pm. From Award Winning Director Doug Benn ('Dirty Sexy Murder' Best Short Comedy at the New York Independent Film Festival", Doug is taking point along with accomplished Musical Director Donovan LeNabat who has worked with international talents in tribute to Liza Minnelli and Barbra Streisand, LeNabat is an educator at the Randolph Academy . The show features two rich emotional characters played by Erin Tancock (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Fame! , Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Scott Pietrangelo (Musical Director of New Choir, has/is working with Chris Hadfield, Deke Sharon, Steven Page, and will be appearing in multiple upcoming Carnegie Hall performances)

The Last Five Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
