Cineplex Entertainment, via our Front Row Centre Events and the Capital One BlackCreek Summer Music Festival are pleased to announce Plácido Domingo in Concert will be presented at participating movie theatres across Canada on Saturday September 17th at 1:00 p.m. local time and Wednesday, September 21st at 7:00 p.m. local time. This concert performance was captured live, in high-definition, at the inaugural Capital One BlackCreek Summer Music Festival in Toronto, ON in June 2011. Acclaimed Metropolitan Opera soprano Sondra Radvanovsky joins Plácido Domingo for this extraordinary evening of music.

"Front Row Centre Events continue to provide our guests with the ability to be a part of exclusive events such as this exquisite concert from Toronto with one of the famed Three Tenors," said Pat Marshall, Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment. "For many years our guests have enjoyed Plácido Domingo in various roles in the Met Live in HD series and now they can revel in an evening of his music as he performs many great opera selections."
Accompanying Plácido Domingo during his first Toronto appearance in over a decade is Sondra Radvanovsky. Together the two performers, with the backing of the 62-member BlackCreek Festival Orchestra and 50-voice Chorus treat the audience to a selection of Italian opera arias and duets. Seven encores and many standing ovations later, the magnificent concert concluded with a dazzling fireworks display resulting in an explosion of colour on the big screen.

Tickets for Plácido Domingo in Concert can be purchased at participating theatre box offices, through the Cineplex Mobile Apps and online at www.cineplex.com/events or our mobile site m.cineplex.com.
