Michael Ian Black Set for TOsketchfest, 3/12

The 8^th Annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (TOsketchfest) is excited to add Michael Ian Black to the Headliner series of the 2013 festival. Michael Ian Black will perform Tuesday, March 12 at the Randolph Theatre at 8pm.

Boasting more than one million twitter followers, Michael Ian Black is a comedian and author who has created and starred in television series such as Michael and Michael Have Issues, Stella, and The State. He also starred in the NBC television show Ed and on VH1's I Love The... series.

He wrote the screenplay for the film Run, Fatboy, Run and wrote and directed the film Wedding Daze. His film roles include Wet Hot American Summer, Take Me Home Tonight and The Baxter.

Michael is the bestselling author of the book My Custom Van (and 50 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Your Face) and numerous children's books. His memoir, You're Not Doing It Right: Tales of Marriage, Sex, Death and Other Humiliations was released in 2012, and is now in development for a half hour series at a primetime network.

Michael Ian Black completes the stacked TOsketchfest Headliner Series including the already announced original show by Bruce McCulloch:Young Drunk Punk at the Randolph Theatre on Monday, March 11, Kurt Braunohler on Friday, March 8 at The LOT Stand-Up Comedy Club at 10pm and Eugene Mirman, in partnership with I Heart Jokes, at the Randolph Theatre on Saturday, March 9.

TOsketchfest 2013 will host over 40 sketch troupes from across North America, March 7-17, 2013, at Comedy Bar, The LOT and Randolph Theatre. All tickets are now on sale and the schedule is online at www.torontosketchfest.com.
