Jayme Armstrong, one of Canada's pre-eminent leading ladies, will be flying onto centre stage with her trusty umbrella as the iconic nanny Mary Poppins in Dunfield Theatre Cambridge's inaugural production of Mary Poppins.

Armstrong secured her place among the country's elite performers as a runner-up in Andrew Lloyd Webber's How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? Following her critically lauded performances on the CBC hit reality television series, the offers rolled in as the Vancouver native was sought after by directors from coast to coast.

Armstrong opted to further her career with award-winning Drayton Entertainment, appearing as Guenevere in the theatre company's North American Tour of Camelot. An audience favourite, she has since appeared in such Drayton Entertainment hit productions as 9 To 5: The Musical, The Sound of Music, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Country Legends. She has also appeared in productions at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Gateway Theatre, Sony Centre, and many more.

Mary Poppins tells the tale of the Banks family and how their lives change after the arrival of a "practically perfect" nanny at their home on 17 Cherry Tree Lane in London, England. Tickets for Mary Poppins are on sale now exclusively to Members of Drayton Entertainment.
