Fence Post Productions is thrilled to announce that Nursery School Musical, written by Racheal & Brett McCaig with music by Anthony Bastianon, has been nominated for Best Comedic Play at this year's Canadian Comedy Awards.
The nominations were announced in Toronto by Colin Mochrie, who happens to have a cameo in the McCaigs new show Bosco & Jones, which premiers June 30th at the Factory Theatre. Also nominated are This Hour Has 22 Minutes' Geri Hall and Dan For Mayor's Paul Bates, who are making cameo appearances in Bosco & Jones, as well as Bosco himself, Paul Constable (who is also nominated with Monkey Toast for Best Improv Troupe.) If that wasn't enough, Nursery School Musical alumni Sandy Jobin-Bevans is nominated for Best Male Improviser.

Nursery School Musical
was the top selling show of the 2008 Toronto Fringe Festival. It was the critic's pick as well as an audience favourite, and was named both "Pick of the Fringe" and "Best of the Fringe". It then went on to take Houston, Texas by storm in a sold-out run during it's American premier. Due to popular demand, it then came back to Toronto where it was embraced once again for an exclusive limited run at the Berkeley Street Theatre. The film rights were optioned by Corsair Entertainment and Nursery School Musical is currently in pre-production for a 2011 release.
Bosco & Jones
opens June 30th as part of the Toronto Fringe Festival. Returning are 4 NSM alumni: actors Brett McCaig and Paul Constable, stage manager Heather Lacey, and choreographer Valerie Stanois (Rock of Ages). Joining the gang are composer Scott White (Top Gun! The Musical), designer Christine Toye, and performers Matt Bois, Allan Gillespie and Kids CBC's Patty Sullivan.
