DYING CITY Makes Toronto Premiere July 21-24

The critically acclaimed DYING CITY is about a therapist who confronts her husband's identical twin after he shows up at her apartment unannounced and wants to talk about his deceased military brother.

The production will take place at Jare's Place Bed and Breakfast, located at 47 Bain Avenue, Toronto with performances Thursday July 21 through Saturday July 23 at 8PM as well as Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24 at 2PM. Tickets for the 15-seat venue are $20 at the door or $17 in advance when reserved through enliven.productions@gmail.com.

Janice Peters and Jan-Michael Weir star in the production directed by Taryn Gelber and produced by Christopher Douglas.

Janice Peters, an Acadia University alumni and P.E.I. native, performed as Diana in Anne, Miss Thorn/Miss Block in Ruthless the Musical, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Elise in The Vic and Denise in The Heidi Chronicles at various theatres and festivals throughout Toronto and the Maritimes.

Jan-Michael Weir's credits include Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing with Humber River Shakespeare; Paradise By The River and The Good German for Shadowpath Theatre; Underneath with Praxis Theatre; Shakespeare's Youth for Theatre By The Bay and Bees and Honey
(PrettyLittleLiars). Jan-Michael is an award-winning graduate of George Brown Theatre School.

Playwright Christopher Shinn was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and lives in New York. His other plays include Four, Other People, The Coming World, What Didn't Happen, On The Mountain, Where Do We Live and Picked. His plays have been produced at the Royal Court, Manhattan Theatre Club, Playwrights Horizons, the Vineyard Theatre, South Coast Rep, and the Soho Theatre, among others. He is a winner of an Obie in Playwriting and a Guggenheim Fellowship in Playwriting.
