Today it was announced that the film version of Jason Robert Brown's musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS will premier at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this fall.

The movie will be shown as part of the "Special Presentations" series. No further details about the TIFF screening have been released.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS film concluded shooting on July 13, 2013 - and has yet to find a distributor.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS is based on Jason Robert Brown's Off-Broadway cult musical and is directed for the screen by Richard LaGravenese. The musical traces the beginning and end of the relationship between writer Jamie and actress Cathy from alternating perspectives in a unique and arresting manner, highlighted by Brown's lyrical, pop-flecked score.

The film stars Jeremy Jordan (Smash, Broadway's Upcoming Finding Neverland) as Jamie and Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Twilight) as Cathy.

More details about the screenings will be announced shortly. Follow BroadwayWorld Toronto on Twitter to keep up to date with all the news from the Toronto International Film Festival!
